Since the very beginning of Muse & Heroine, Janine Knizia has always been the first to test everything she shares so for this first chapter, she goes first, offering an honest glimpse into what truly structures her life today.
What shifted in you when you started your brand?
Janine Knizia: Creating, founding, and building Muse & Heroine has transformed my entire life. I have become a different woman: more self-confident, more powerful, and fully in charge of my life, health, freedom, and peace. Muse & Heroine is not just something I created, it is my life. It’s a way of living, a lifestyle, a daily practice of honoring the preciousness of our existence. Through this journey, I have learned more than I ever thought possible, and my life has expanded and improved in ways I once couldn’t even imagine.
What are you genuinely obsessed with right now (beauty, health, places, anything)?
So many things! Spring just brings everything back to life, and I feel this natural surge of energy and motivation to do more, create more, be more. I’m completely obsessed with my Heroine Master Cleanse that we created in collaboration with The Wylder 33. It’s truly become a ritual for me. And finally, I can talk about it… the Hair & Scalp Shot from Hech has genuinely transformed my hair. Taffy Crème Super-Riche is, without exaggeration, a lifelong love. My skin has never looked or felt better, I could honestly bathe in it. What’s one beauty or wellness habit that truly changed your skin, your body or your energy and that people underestimate?
Changing and cycling my skincare is essential to me. Skin adapts quickly and when you use the same ingredients every single day, it can become almost unresponsive. For over 15 years, I’ve challenged my skin by constantly rotating products and rituals from day to night, and even from one day to the next. It’s honestly been a game-changer for maintaining youthful, responsive skin. I treat it like a daily workout: you don’t repeat the exact same exercise forever, you mix, you adapt, you stimulate. Skincare works the same way. It’s all about variation, intuition, and knowing when to switch things up.

Your current non-negotiable ritual?
Taking my BeCalm Vitale Ionic Magnesium Complex (just 3-4 ml in a glass of water) has become part of my nightly wind-down ritual. I pair it with a massage of Magnesium Rich Body into my feet and legs, which instantly helps me release tension and shift into a calmer, more grounded state.

The one supplement or ingredient you would never give up?
Probiotics and prebiotics are non-negotiable for me, I’m obsessed with Heal My Solar Plexus from Depuravita (truly the best, trust me). Everything starts in the gut or ends there, so I’m very intentional about taking care of it daily. And Catalyst Gold from Herbalore has been a constant in my routine for over eight years, no breaks. It’s one of those daily foundations I rely on for longevity.

Your most effective “low-effort, high-impact” longevity habit?
Sleep is the most underrated luxury, and it’s completely free. Since I started tracking my health data with WHOOP, I’ve become much more intentional about protecting and optimizing my sleep. I’ve been upgrading my evenings with a few essentials: the Big Sleep Melatonin Patches from Barrière and two droppers of Supra Calm Tincture from The Wylder 33. Nothing replaces deep, restorative sleep, it's the foundation of everything.

Something you do that most people would find surprising or unconventional?
Everyone is always a little surprised when they see me covered in my TCM patches from Ross J Barr and my vitamin stickers from Barrière. But honestly, they’ve made such a noticeable difference in how I feel, my energy, my immunity, my overall health. At this point, they’ve become part of my daily ritual, and I wouldn’t want to be without them.

The place where you truly reset (city, hotel, nature, anywhere)?
In our mountain home in the Dolomites, it truly feels like heaven on earth, like stepping into another world, completely removed from any problems. Everything slows down there. The air, the silence, the space and it gives you a kind of clarity and calm that’s hard to find anywhere else.

Every single day, I need my Hojicha Black Sesame from Wild & The Moon.
And I always go back to Daimant Restaurant St. Honoré, I`m a big fan of their vegetarian menu.
What have you kept from your younger self?
Staying curious and never taking no as a final answer.
When do you feel the most powerful in your everyday life?
After my workout when I’ve moved my body, cleared my mind, and feel fully present. It’s that moment where I can look ahead with clarity and feel genuinely grateful for the work I get to do.

What do you do only for yourself?
Reading one book per week, that´s my me-time.

Health is Wealth. Consistency is the key to success and beats perfection. Nervous system regulation is my new gold standard.
