Mulberry contains naturally occurring compounds including 1-deoxynojirimycin — DNJ, which has been investigated scientifically for its interaction with carbohydrate digestion and post-meal glucose responses.
Human research on DNJ-enriched mulberry extracts has reported attenuation of post-meal glucose responses, although these studies used specific extracts and doses and should not be interpreted as clinical evidence for TISSUE G itself.
