Healthy in... Rome! With Margherita Fresilli

Our managing editor Margherita takes you for a walk in the città eterna. Get ready to fall even more in love with this magical city. Here is Rome’s healthy city guide.  #HealthyIn

I know I'm biased - very much so - but Rome is indeed one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Here's a list of my favorite healthy spots that will allow you to experience La Dolce Vita like never before, away from the touristy buzz.
Cafés + restaurants
Ginger sapori e salute: If you fancy a fresh bite for lunch, and you’re into genuine Italian produce prepared in simple and healthy ways, this is the place for you. Right into the city center, perfect for a quick spot in between shopping. Instagram-friendly and not over-the-top expensive too.

Marigold: Ostiense is a very up-and-coming foodie paradise in Rome (and one of my favorite spots too). Marigold is my all-time favorite in the neighborhood: a scandi micro-bakery meets Italian cuisine, serving a hefty dose of international vibes. This spot is vibrant, cool, and inspiring – and the food is fresh and amazing.

Berberé: I know we’re talking healthy, but there’s nothing more Italian than a delicious pizza. This place uses the best ingredients and prepares a dough so light and fluffy that’s the perfect way to enjoy delicious carbs without the bloat.

Temakinho in Rinascente: although there are several addresses to eat Temakinho’s delicious Brazilian inspired sushi in Rome, I would argue that this rooftop on the very last floor of Rinascente department store is one of the best. Ceviche is the best pick in my opinion.
Hotel de Russie: their private garden next to Piazza del Popolo is best and most glamourous place to have aperitivo in the city center.

Spas/Wellness
Hotel de La Ville Spa: the perfect spot to relax away from the buzz of the city center. Small, quiet, peaceful, and just a couple of minutes away from the Spanish Steps. Treatments inspired by Sicilian nature are a plus.

Aleph Curio Collection Spa: very amazing treatments for body and face + the spa has an authentic hammam and the staff is amazing (Tell Paola I say hi!).

Rome Cavalieri Spa: If la dolce vita was a place it would be this roman-inspired spa. Elegant and decadent. Facials are amazing here.

Eden Spa: This treatment spot is where the magic happens. If you love Gua-Sha massages, this is the best place in town.

Alma Care Roma: This laser therapy center offers the highest quality body and face treatments + amazing facials using 24K gold.

Shopping &Co
Rinascente is the oldest and best department store in Italy. Their newest in Via del Tritone has the best beauty department floor filled with all the most luxurious brands and really cool exclusives.

Olfattorio Bar à Parfums has many different locations in the city: it's the perfect spot to get lost in fragrances and buy an amazing memoir.
Vertecchi: if you're into paper, arts, and crafts this amazing art store will be a paradise for you.
