The Glow Review aka a Guide to Effortlessly Good Skin
The first thing you notice when you first discover The Glow skincare is the ultra instagrammable soft pink packaging. I’m here to tell you that the cute pack is only the cherry on the pie.
The Glow rage consists in ultra-pure skincare made in Germany.
It’s a minimal, customizable, multifunctional range with sustainable, 100% natural, untreated ingredients from certified organic or wildcrafted sources. Their concept is very simple: The Glow Essentials is a minimalist toolkit consisting of five products that you can use their own or mix-and-match to form new ones. What I love the most about the range is how the products are uncompromisingly pure, and formulated with any fillers, water or synthetic ingredients. The number of ingredients is very small, so that every active is present in a large enough quantity to really make a difference. The result? A very easy, intuitive, planet-friendly and completely natural skincare routine that you can adapt to your ever changing and fluid skincare needs, without having to buy a new product for every skin concern.

The Glow Essentials: A Review
The Glow Floral Essence
I would describe the gorgeously blue tinted Floral Essence as the heart and soul of The Glow beauty range. This liquid serum and toner can be used as pressed into clean skin, as a mixing medium with oils, balms and Cleansing Clay. It doesn‘t just deliver extreme moisture, but also an innovative, ultra-pure line-up of powerful botanical actives. Aloe vera, neroli and rose hydrosoils are soothing and anti-inflammatory, making Floral Essence great for every skin type, even sensitive and acne-prone skin. Moth Bean and Snow Mushroom extracts are botanical alternatives to retinol and hyaluronic acid, leaving the skin younger looking and smoother, without causing the potential side effects of their synthetic counterparts.Lemon Balm is calming and boasts strong antioxidant and anti-microbial properties. Probiotics strengthen the skin‘s protective barrier while malachite extract shields the skin from pollution. An Extra tip? Use this soothing product as a light, re-hydrating serum on reddened skin after work-outs.
The Glow Master Elixir
The first thing that will strike you as soon as you try this skin-transforming blend of the world’s finest oils is the amazing smell of Neroli, Geranium and Bergamot. This truly is a magic elixir to lock intense nourishment into the skin: it can be used as a face oil, for Gua Sha and face yoga massages, as an intensive eye treatment and as a mixing medium for face masks. Broccoli seed, prickly pear, pomegranate seed and rose-hip oil smooth the skin, reduce dryness and wrinkles, prevent inflammation, reduce irritation and give you a radiant, even complexion. Sea buckthorn fruit oil provides gentle AHA acids, refines skin texture and boosts collagen production. Pro tip? Use a tiny amount on split hands for healthy, shiny hair.
The Glow Everything Oil
I guess the name of this one already explains it all. This multi-tasking blend of balancing, anti-inflammatory oils is the secreto weapon for healthy face, body and hair. You can use it as an oily cleanser, as a light moisturizer as an eye-makeup remover, as a hair oil or body oil. Jojoba oil helps skin retain moisture, is anti-inflammatory and helps to regulate the skin’s sebum production. Grape seed oil and hemp oil are light, anti-inflammatory oils full of valuable fatty acids and antioxidants. Apricot seed oilhelps the skin to retain moisture, making it soft and smooth. Rosehip oil provides an extra portion of vitamins, antioxidants and stimulates collagen production, improves skin texture and helps against redness and irritation. The essential oils of lavender and mandarine have an antimicrobial and soothing effect on skin and soul.
The Glow Wonderbalm
This wonderful glass jar contains a baby pink, soothing and multi-purpose balm that heals and protects dehydrated sensitive skin. This multitasked can work as a cleansing balm massaged into dry skin, as a soothing and protective balm during the colder months, as a calming intensive face mask, as a lip and eye balm, as a glow natural highlighter and even as a baby treatment. With wild-crafted, healing Cupuaçu-Butter from our cooperative in the Amazon and nourishing, smoothing Almond, Rosehip, Jojoba and Olive oils. Cupuaçu-Butter and organic beeswax lock in moisture while also having healing, anti-inflammatory properties. Gromwell Root Extrakt is anti-microbial and adds a wonderfully special colour to this balm.
The Glow Cleansing Clay
Arguably one of the most famous products in the german range, this soft pink powder works wonders as a gently exfoliating cleanser, a face scrub and a face mask. Cleansing Clay brightens, exfoliates and deeply cleanses the skin with mild AHAs from organic hibiscus powder, anti-inflammatory and pore-unclogging BHA from white willow bark, exfoliating Papaya enzymes and pore-refining pink clay. Apple kernel extract delivers antioxidants and doubles as non-abrasive peeling particles. Aloe Vera makes this blend soothing and non-drying. Pour about a teaspoon of Cleansing Clay into the palm of your hand, add a little water and use your finger to stir it into a smooth paste. Apply to your face and gently rub away all make-up, sebum and impurities. Then rinse with plenty of lukewarm water. Follow with Floral Essence and Everything Oil, Wonderbalm or Master Elixir, depending on your skin’s current needs. As a mask mix one teaspoon of Cleansing Clay with Floral Essence, a hydrosol or tap water to form a smooth paste. Apply it to the cleansed face and remove it with the Cleansing Cloth and plenty of lukewarm water before it begins to dry.You can personalize face masks with all sorts of pantry ingredients such as yoghurt, honey and essential oils.
