Katja Kokko is a leading pioneer and visionary of holistic skincare in her Nordic home country Finland. During her 23-year-long career in beauty, Katja is known as a dynamic force of nature – always expanding her expertise into new depths while fiercely following her heart.
Katja is a licensed acupuncturist, beauty therapist and yoga teacher. Her broad education contains cosmetology, Traditional Chinese Medicine, facial gua sha, Dr. Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage, Connective Tissue Manipulation, facial reflexology and organic cosmetics formulation.
Katja works as head of Yin Your Skin a holistic skincare brand with highly effective skincare products, gua sha tools, and professional training.
From the details of product development to manual skincare techniques, Katja’s versatile expertise and vision cover the whole spectrum. During her over 20-year-long career in holistic beauty, Katja has curated, analyzed, and worked with numerous beauty brands and products.
As the outer beauty is always a reflection of what lies underneath the surface, Katja has always been passionate to see the big picture and all aspects that contribute to holistic health.
Katja trains beauty therapists and acupuncturists actively in Finland to her Yin Your Skin Pro professional treatment protocol. The protocol is her creation, based on gua sha and acupressure with strong emphasis on connective tissue manipulation – accompanied by elements from manual lymph drainage. To date, Katja has trained 150 professionals in Finland. For consumers, Yin Your Skin offers online courses and coaching.
In addition to her dedicated product development work, Katja regularly gives treatments at her practice. Her treatments include facial gua sha, acupuncture, cosmetic acupuncture, and manual lymph drainage.
