Aniba Rosaeodora
This precious tree, known as Brazilian Rosewood, faced near extinction due to its prized essential oil. Presently, they collaborate with an incredible team in an eco-project dedicated to protecting, restoring, and sharing the offerings of this healing tree. The Rosewood Essential Oil derived from this project is CITES certified.
In Peru, their partners consider finding rosewood seeds a "holy grail" for their project. They are on a mission to safeguard and rejuvenate the most endangered trees of the Amazon. Given the critical state of this tree, it took them five years to source the seedlings. Now, baby rosewoods are meticulously cultivated in nurseries, ready to be planted at their reforestation center with the onset of each rainy season.
Furthermore, this project collaborates with another initiative to cultivate seedlings for the native peoples of the Amazon. Thousands of seedlings are being returned to their once-indigenous regions.
Indigenous peoples of the Amazon have traditionally used Rosewood Essential Oil to treat various wounds and sores. Deeply healing, Rosewood is a divinely aromatic oil that supports immunity. Every part of the Rosewood tree carries an aromatic essence, with a scent that is floral, citrusy, and woody, accompanied by a hint of pepper—a deceptively lovely aroma for an oil boasting antimicrobial properties.
Gentle enough for all skin types, including oily, sensitive, and mature skin, Rosewood Essential Oil is regenerative and widely used in skincare and cosmetics. Its anti-bacterial compounds, coupled with its heavenly scent and skin-supportive nature, make it a popular choice in natural deodorants. Adding a drop or two to any massage oil yields silky skin and induces feelings of calm and euphoria.
