Our 85% cacao is distinct because it incorporates small pieces of real dates. This distinction is vital when compared to other 'sugars' since dates still contain fiber. Fiber plays a crucial role in stabilizing sugar levels in our bodies, preventing sudden spikes and placing it lower on the glycemic index (GI) compared to other sugars like honey and coconut sugar.
Dates also offer a lower-calorie alternative to regular sugar and contain significantly less fructose than agave and honey, resulting in a less 'sweet' taste. Additionally, since they are essentially ground whole dried fruit, they retain the fruit's valuable nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
